HP RP TRONIC RPT – Automatic Pressure Regulation Module

When seawater conditions change in terms of temperature and salinity, the pressure must be adjusted manually to keep the unit and operating pressure under control.

These adjustments are usually carried out in narrow and uncomfortable engine rooms, where watermakers are most often installed.

Furthermore, these procedures are not always fully clear to the end user, or they are not carried out in the correct order, which can lead to problems or malfunction of the unit.

In 2002, HP patented the first automatic pressure regulation valve, called RP TRONIC®, which independently regulates the system’s operating pressure with any type of water, whether in the middle of the Mediterranean or in the Caribbean.

The RP TRONIC® system is equipped with a pressure sensor that measures circuit pressure and increases the operating pressure to the set value, thanks to a micrometric electric motor that rotates in one direction or the other to increase or decrease the pressure level.

This type of pressure regulation is unique and innovative in the watermaker industry.

RPT is particularly suitable for charter vessels, where the watermaker is operated by guests who are not trained to adjust the pressure directly on the unit, and in this case only need to use the start/stop function on the control panel available to them in the saloon.
